When you post on Twitter about al-Qa’ida
Or a Nuclear Threat in North Korea,
The FBI, the CIA,
The ATF, the TSA
The DHS, the DEA,
Will all make sure that you’re okay.
If you just use a Social Network to talk about the Flu
They will check on you.
You might be a Threat,
You might cause a Riot.
So…

GRRM seemed genuinely surprised that there was, standing in front of him, an actual fan of Stannis. And I quote:
“Stannis, huh? You don’t meet many fans of Stannis.”
To which I replied with giddy fangirling all over the place. I couldn’t contain myself, but I regret nothing.
“I know I know I know! There aren’t many of us, we’re in the tiniest of minorities. But we love our Stannis!”
As he was signing, his assistant looked at me and said, “Were you the person that shouted out his name last night?!” (Meaning at the screening of Blackwater with GRRM, during the opening shot after the credits, someone in the audience actually shouted out “STANNIS!!!!” They had quite literally stolen his name out of my mouth as I almost did the same thing.)
“No, but I almost WAS that person. I was so excited when they did that!”
“But - but - he’s a lobster!”
I just laughed and said, “Come on now! But he’s Stannis! And he’s my favourite.”
The whole time this conversation went down, GRRM was just sitting there signing my book, giggling. Giggling! Probably at the absurdity of the conversation going on right in front of him. I don’t even know. I don’t even care. I got my book signed by GRRM proclaiming my love of the rightful king of Westeros.
AND STANNIS STANS WE ARE UNIQUE! OUR LOYALTY TO THE RIGHTFUL KING INTRIGUES EVEN GRRM HIMSELF! BE PROUD!
I wonder if he did this to Robb Stark fans when he was signing their copies of A Clash of Kings… Sorry, couldn’t help but think it. D:

I was really impressed with Raines of Castamere. I can’t wait for the Last of the Giants from season 3. I figure it ought to make it in. I hope it does… OH GOD IT BETTER!!!!!!

halfassedcannibalshialabeouf flattered me and then I decided to draw her Ygritte because I’m easily swayed with flattery. And because Sam is a total peach and I adore her <3
I don’t often draw ladies and I’ve never drawn Ygritte before, so hopefully it looks like her!
This is one of the best drawings of Ygritte I’ve ever scene. Kudos to the artist.

That Jon is going to break his vow of his own volition. If the Half-Hand doesn’t validate it he’s a turn coat and an oathbreaker. I don’t know if I like that considering his future.
Bran’s first chapter is the first chapter GRRM ever wrote, and if you go back to it, and a few other first chapters for POV characters in that first book, there is a lot, A LOT, of hidden foreshadowing kind of things.
